When did you begin riding and racing? At what point did you become a District 23
ARMCA member?
I’ve been riding since I was a little kid. Raced a couple of seasons as a C rider in my 20's, but started really racing in 2010 after being hospitalized with a heart attack. I've been a regular member of D23 ARMCA since 2010.

What is the greatest accomplishment of your riding/racing career?

My greatest accomplishment is without a doubt all of the amazing people I have been lucky enough to meet and ride with. By racing standards it would probably be my D23 ARMCA Super Senior A Championship in 2021.

What are your goals for 2023? Beyond?

As Always, to ride as much as possible, have as much fun as I can, and not hurt myself. Lol

Why do you continue to race in D23 ARMCA?

The People, and the venues. We have some truly outstanding people, and some phenomenal places to ride. Right here in D23!

Who inspires you in racing?

Everybody. But mostly anyone who just finished an enduro for the first time. Makes me deeply happy, to see someone have that experience and to know that now, they know.

How has motorcycling impacted your life?

It has always been my Cycle Therapy, from when I was a small kid on my dads bike with him, until now, in my 50's riding..... being on a motorcycle calms me, and makes me happy!

What is your favorite food to eat on race day?

Free?

How do you get pumped up to ride/race? Music? Pep talks? Maybe quiet time is more your style?

Everything about riding gets me pumped up, but I used to read before a Hare Scramble and I have fond memories of an old guy who used to blind side tackle me before races...... always got the heart rate up there!!

What else do you like to do for fun?

I enjoy concerts, and the last year or so, I've found that I enjoy time in the gym. And also, dogs, I really enjoy spending time doing dog stuff with dogs.

What advice has a fellow rider/racer given you that you follow?

"You'd be alot faster, if you slowed down a little bit and stopped crashing." Dave S

What advice do you have for other D23 ARMCA members?

if you're not having fun, you are doing it wrong.

Over $3.16 Million in Contingency Available in 2023 District 23 ARMCA FXR Championship Series

District 23 ARMCA and our valued partners are proud to announce over $3.16 million in combined contingency payout in 2023. These contingency programs reward riders that succeed in D23 ARMCA racing when competing on newer models of the respective manufacturer. The contingency programs will be available over the course of the 2023 season across multiple disciplines including Enduro, Hare Scrambles, and Motocross. Contingency is available with 5 manufacturers: Gas Gas, Husqvarna, KTM, Kawasaki, and Yamaha. Requirements for receiving contingency vary by manufacturer. Please review the requirements and sign up for the program at the respective sites linked below.

What discipline(s) do you participate in? Class(es)?

MX Quad Open C class

When did you begin riding and racing? At what point did you become a District 23 ARMCA member?
I began racing in 2018 and became a D23 ARMCA member in 2020.

What is the greatest accomplishment of your riding/racing career?

My greatest accomplishment in my racing career is riding a full 2022 season and not missing a single race.

What are your goals for 2023? Beyond?

My goals for 2023 are taking championship in C class hoping to move up to the B class and beyond.

Why do you continue to race in D23 ARMCA?

I continue to race in D23 because there is a lot of competition and I have fun hanging out with other fellow riders at the track. I have made some awesome friends while at the track.

Who inspires you in racing?

The person who most inspires me is Nate Fuller because he is an awesome rider. He is always willing to teach me and help me at the track.

How has motorcycling impacted your life?

Racing has most impacted my life by giving me something to work hard for.

What is your favorite food to eat on race day?

I prefer not like to eat anything until after racing is done, but I will have a few bananas before the race.

How do you get pumped up to ride/race? Music? Pep talks? Maybe quiet time is more your style?

I like to hang out by myself and think about the race track. I think about certain sections of the track and how I will race them.

What else do you like to do for fun?

I enjoy hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, camping, wrestling and hanging out with my friends and family.

What advice has a fellow rider/racer given you that you follow?

Take time to relax on the straight away when racing. This advice was given to me by a fellow rider.

What advice do you have for other D23 ARMCA members?

My advice to other fellow members would be to have fun, stay in shape and don't give up.

Anything else you’d like to mention?

I love racing the D23 series and have a great time racing at all the different tracks.
