The Straight
Arrows and NEPG hosted round 8 of the National
Enduro Series in Nemadji State Forest Aug. 24th. Pro riders
Russell Bobbit and Mike Lafferty took home 1st and 2nd respectively. The
margin of victory came down to a check point Lafferty missed by 2 seconds
compared to Bobbit, amazing after 75 miles of racing. Fantastic rides were put
in by many D23 riders, some finished in the top ten. Dylan Debel won Open
A and was 5th overall, Nathan Ferderer won 200 A and was 7th overall, Tim
Nienow won 250 A and was 8th overall, and multi time state enduro champ Craig
Holasek won Vet A and was 10th overall. Riders from New Jersey, Idaho, Texas and
the entire region competed and found that Minnesota riders can hold their own
when it comes to woods racing. Congratulations and great job everyone. The club
and racers did Minnesota proud. |
