Saturday evening (6:00 pm), George Hodkinson will be presenting suspension tips for those who wish to understand more of their suspension. Pine Island Off Road will be trying a new approach to promoting a Hare Scrambles. This year, quads and minis will run on Saturday, September 15. Quads will run from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. There will be a break of an hour and then the minis will run starting at 2:00 pm. The Micros and Macros will run for 45 minutes while the Peewees and Premiers will run for an hour. The quads will get to run the MX track, grass track, some new sections and the bottoms for a length of about 6 miles. The Micros and Macros will get to run the bottom which the Peewees and Premiers usually run. The Peewees and Premiers will run the MX track, grass track, some new sections and the easy woods track for a length of about 4 miles. A new class will be run also on Saturday. the class will be called the Unlimited class (any and all motorcycles) and will start at approximately 3:30 pm. They will get to run everything the quads run. On Sunday, the youth, C, B and A classes will run. Youth and C will start at 11:00 am and go for an hour. They will run the quad track. At 1:00 pm, the A and B riders will take off. "Three new sections will be added. These are A/B ability only. Something special for those that liked the Millville of old", Mark says. Highway 60 from Zumbro Falls to Spring Creek MX has been under construction this summer. Alternate routes have been posted on Spring Creek's WEB page, springcreekmx.com is the URL address. The best way to get there is turn east on Olmsted County road 12 on the north side of Oronoco. Go 4 miles to the intersection of highway 63, 12 and highway 247. Go east 4 miles on highway 247 to Potsdam. Turn north on Wabasha county road 23. Go approximately 5 miles until you come to the intersection of Wabasha county road 2. Take a left on county road 2 and cross the bridge to Millville. Just past the bridge, take a right on Wabash county road 11. Go 7 miles and you will come out at Spring Creek MX Park. The costs for this year's event are as follows: $5.00 gate fee for each person. $10.00 camping fee. $30.00 for A, B, C and quads. $20.00 for minis. $20.00 for the Unlimited class. The Unlimited class will not get trophies but will 1st, 2nd and 3rd place riders will received gift certificates for $40.00, $30.00 and $20.00 respectively. Come on out and have a good time.
