MX Family

A Great Organization Now Available To District 23 Members

 

     MX Family is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote youth and family development through the sport of motocross.  We have a captive group of kids and families at the track each weekend giving us an opportunity to encourage working together, sportsmanship and our theme of anti-drug and alcohol messages.  We do this in a variety of ways, always trying to include all members of the racing family. 

      Here is an example of some of the benefits MX family offers:

·        Activities trackside- we organize games and contests for the kids and families.  Some examples of these are scavanger hunts, relay races, coloring or drawing contests, bmx bike racing and bingo.  We are always open to ideas for new activities.  The games and contests are rewarded with prizes that have been donated by local businesses.

·        Scholarship program- Our Reach for the Stars program allows racers to earn credits for scholarship money.  Motocross kids are not usually eligible for traditional scholarships.

·        Discounts- We make arrangements with track owners to provide a $1.00 of the gate fee for each member.  That can add up to a considerable savings over the year.  Currently we have two tracks that are giving this discount, MotoCity Raceway and Hurricane Hills, and hope to have more soon.  We are also working with local dealerships for a discount on services.

·        Members only drawings-  We have certain larger items donated by companies for give aways.  These we keep for the people supporting the organization.  At the regional event we gave away a Bike Boot.  At Loretta Lynn’s we will be giving away a pressure washer.  You do not need to be present, just a member.
